Discover the pure Thailand in Loei and bicycle in Bangkok

Stay in Sirila Farm Concept Resort, located in a remote spot in the fields of the province of Loei, far from the tourist world. Here you can still find the pure Thailand. And when in Bangkok you need to do bicycle in Bangkok.

Green-minded tourism at Sirila Farm Concept Resort

Sirila Farm Concept Resort is located in a remote spot in the fields of the province of Loei, far from the tourist world. Here you can still find the pure Thailand. Years ago a Thai family came up with the idea to do something different with this then completely overgrown land of 35,000 square meters. A place without electricity and no water. On the land a well was drilled and the land was ploughed over by hand. The idea was to grow entirely new crops that had never been tried before in this province, in order to help the farmers in the area on their way to new initiatives. In this way, a good plan developed that soon received attention from the tourist sector. A hut was built, a kitchenette was built and local programs were developed where westerners can get acquainted with the still pure Thailand. The concept was that the family would build and develop everything with their own ideas and hands. Thus, from the outside no workers were hired and / or contractors companies.

Meanwhile the concept has been extended to a guesthouse and 4 luxury safari tents (also sewn and built by the family themselves) and there is a Farmers Wing with 3 luxury rooms.
The concept is basic and important for awareness and a better life for the planet, but next to that the accommodation provides comfort in a responsible way. For example, a lot of use is made of solar panels.

Staying on this farm is an entirely different experience. The meals are excellent and there are nice excursions in the area. The Sirila project is small scale and will certainly not grow into a large tourist complex. Personal care and attention will remain paramount in the interest of responsible tourism. It is wonderful to see how people have managed to create this concept completely with their own hands. Every stone has been laid by them, every building has been built by them, and all this with very limited means. Meanwhile there are interesting plantations consisting of cashew nut trees, macademia, coffee, date palms, lemon trees and much more! A nice example of how it can be done.

On the farm you will stay in one of the comfortable tents and the prices include meals and some excursions.
Bike excursion through the farming village is also included.

Bicycle in Bangkok

A particularly popular excursion is "Cycling in Bangkok" where you will get acquainted with a Bangkok of long gone times. Away from the hustle and bustle, it exists!

This tour will introduce you to the morning ritual of this colorful city; the city wakes up, people rush to work and buy breakfast at one of the many stalls along the side of the road. You will take a look in the living rooms of Bangkok, small houses built on the edge of a canal ... the real local life of Bangkok. After this impressive first part, you cycle to the pier on the banks of the Chao Praya river.

This is where our longtail boat will take you to the other side, the green heart of Bangkok, an exuberant green area with its many old plantations. It is hard to imagine that not so far from here, on the other side of the river, the busy metropolis is raging through, while there is a serene peace and quiet here. You cycle over the winding raised bicycle paths, along the tropical plantations and through small communities. You pass small schools and children cheerfully wave. Furthermore you see the typical Thai houses, palms, bananas and much more. A great experience!
