With our Laos Essentials Tour you will visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, you will enjoy the beautiful Kuang Si Fall, and you will go to Mung Ngoi, a small riverside village . Your tour start and ends at the magical town Luang Prabang, which has been designated as UNESCO Heritage Site for its unique fusion of European and Lao cultural traditions and architecture.
DAY 1
Arriving – Luang Prabang
Welcome to Luang Prabang. Pick up and transfer from Airport by minivan. Overnight in Luang Prabang

DAY 2
Luang Prabang-Pak Ou Cave
After breakfast you enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong. Afterwards you board a cruise on the Mekong River, which gives a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, you stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make local rice wine.

DAY 3
Luang Prabang-Kuang Si Fall
After breakfast, you visit the National museum (formal Royal palace), Wat Visounnarath, and Wat Mai. Afterwards you drive to the beautiful Kuang Si Fall, where you can swim, relax and have lunch at a local restaurant. On return, you stop at Black Hmong Village. The hill tribes make hand-made handicraft for tourists. By late afternoon you arrive in Luang Prabang. Climb up Mount Phousi hill for a beautiful sunset over the city.

DAY 4
Luang Prabang – Nongkhiaw – Muang Ngoi
8:00am: your guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the north to explore the tribe villages. Arrival in Nongkhiaw at noon. Experience the stunning Nam Ou river by long boat passing villages surrounded by cast rock mountains. Return to Muang Ngoi. Your guide will lead you to the Tham Kang cave nearby the village. It was used as a bomb shelter during the wartime period in Laos.

DAY 5
Mung Ngoi – Luang Prabang
9:00am. Today is the big day for the boat trip & mini van down stream to Luang Prabang. You will enjoy the Nam Ou River down to Luang Prabang and will have a picnic lunch on the way along the Ou River. At the Dam transfer to Luang Prabang by mini van.
