Our Vietnam tour, Hanoi to Hoi An, combines many of the country’s essential sites and some of its hidden places with a wide variety of destinations and landscapes. Beginning in Vietnam’s elegant capital Hanoi and finishing in charming, historic Hoi An our tour includes World Heritage Hue, the dramatic scenery of Halong Bay, Ninh Binh Province with its UNESCO World Heritage, Trang An landscapes.

Discover the country’s past and present: ruined temples of the Cham Empire, glorious pagodas and royal tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, the more recent, tragic sites of the Vietnam War and the friendly people, exotic cuisine, fantastic landscapes and exciting city of Hanoi.

DAY 1

Arrival Hanoi

Upon arrival, meet at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2

Hanoi City Tour

 AM: Visit the Ethnology museum, Tran Quoc pagoda and cycle tour around 36 old quarter streets .

PM:  Your guide will take you to see private mini water puppet show with Mr Liem (Minimum 4 pax on up )

DAY 3

Hanoi - Halong Bay

AM: Join tour  to Halong Bay with Bai Tho company
11.30 – 12.15 Arrival at Hon Gai International Harbour.
12.30 – 13.00 Transfer by tender to boat, enjoy welcome drink. Depart to Bai Tu Long Bay.
13.00 – 14.30 Enjoy lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating formations on the way. 
15.30 – 16.30 Transfer from boat to rowing boat to visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village. Rowers are local people wearing traditional costume. It’s the opportunity to see the fisher’s daily life with the primary features in the charming nature 
16.45 – 17.30 Enjoy relaxing on a white sandy beach at Ban Chan Beach.
17.30 Return to boat. Continue cruising through the bay.
18.30 Anchor for overnight at Cong Do area.
19.30 – 21.00 Savor a delicious set dinner in dining room. 
21.00 – 23.00 Relax, enjoy fresh air & overnight on board.

DAY 4

Halong Bay - Hanoi

06.30 Enjoy sunrise over the bay or take part in our morning Tai Chi session.
06.45 - 07.45 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in dining room.
08.00 - 08.30 Explore the well-hidden Thien Canh Son cave.
09.00 - 09.30 Check-out cabins and settle bills. Luggage collection
09.30 - 10.30 International buffet brunch served in dining room.
10.30 - 11.00 Arrival at the pier. Farewell.
PM:  Drive to Hanoi and drop you in your hotel .

DAY 5

Hanoi - Ninh Binh

AM: Your guide will lead you on a city tour by bicycle  to visit Uncle Ho. Learn about his great life at the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (closed on Mondays & Fridays) and Presidential Gardens, Temple of Literature. All visitors to the mausoleum are required to wear clothes covering your knees and shoulders. This applies to both men and women.
Drive to Trang An – Ninh Binh, situated in an area full of vast ricefields, limestone rock formations and caves. Upon arrival you make a trip on small rowing boats through the spectacular area, followed by lunch in a local restaurant.

PM: Bicycle around rice fields in Tam Coc village. Transfer to Ninh Binh railway station for night train to Hue.

DAY 6

Hue sightseeing

Arrival in Hue and transfer to hotel for brunch.
After that we drive to the mausoleums of Minh Mang (or Tu Duc) and Khai Dinh. In the meantime you will also learn how typical incense sticks and Vietnamese hats are made.

DAY 7

Hue - Hoi An

In the morning take visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda, the Imperial Citadel, and Dong Ba market. Lunch is included at local restaurant. Proceed to Danang by car on a trip that is a highlight of central Vietnam. The three-hour drive hugs the ocean coastline, winds through emerald-green paddy fields and climbs over the dramatic Hai Van Mountain pass. Visit the Cham ruins in My Son, 69 km south-west of Danang. My Son is a World Heritage site recognized by Unesco in 1999. Drive to Hoi An


DAY 8

Hoi An Sightseeing

AM: Walking tour in the pedestrian part of the town of Hoi An. The Japanese covered bridge was the link between the Japanese and the Chinese communities and is now the main attraction in Hoi An. A visit to the old merchant’s house Phung Hung is also on the programme. It was built 200 years ago and is still inhabited today by the eighth generation of the merchant family. The Chinese have always played an important role in Hoi An. The many Chinese community houses bear witness to this. You visit one of the many community houses.

PM: Bicycle around Hoi An city to visit villages and see how people grow vegetables as well as their daily life.

Hoi An - Danang - Departure

Transfer to Da Nang airport for flight out.
