Sapa trekking

Sapa is a town in the Hoàng Liên Son Mountains of northwestern Vietnam. A popular trekking base, it overlooks the terraced rice fields of the Muong Hoa Valley and is near the 3,143m-tall Phang Xi Pang peak, which was climbable via a steep, multiday guided walk, though these days a cable car has been installed. Hill tribes, such as the Hmong, Tay and Dao, make up much of the town's local population.
DAY 1
Hanoi - Night Train - Lao Cai
20h30 Transfer to Tran Quy Cap station for night train to Lao Cai . The train leaves Hanoi railway station at 21:00 or 22:00.
DAY 2
Sapa trekking
After breakfast near Lao Cai station and transfer to Sapa, we will start our full day trekking (11 km) down in the Muong Hoa valley to the minority villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van. Sleep in a comfortable homestay. You can ask the local guide to make the trekking less long and hard and do part of it by car or motorbike. A lot will depend on the weather.

DAY 3
Sapa trekking
After breakfast, we continue our trekking along the buffalo trail and through lush bamboo forest and small water fall to get to Giang Ta Chai Village, providing the opportunity to see nature views.
Encounter local villages and witness the customs and traditions of Red Dzao People. Have lunch at Su Pan then continue with a peaceful downhill trek from Su Pan Village, around winding mountain paths and through lush fields of rice paddies. Overnight at Ban Ho village.

DAY 4
Sapa village - Sapa town - Hanoi
Next day continue on to the Red Dao village of Nam Toong. Go for a leisurely swim near Ban Ho before journeying back to Sapa.
14h30 Limousine bus ticket from Sapa to Hanoi. Driver will drop you in your hotel (distance 290km – 5 hours to 6 hours ). Check in hotel about 20h00.
